ICS Cybersecurity Lead Engineer, Bapco Refining

Mohammed Lounadi is a cyber security expert with a master's in computer science from the National School of Computer Science in Algeria. He has 15 years of experience in both information technology (IT) and Operational technology (OT) fields. He is currently in charge of the Industrial Control System (ICS) Cyber Security. His function ranges from the design and implementation of cyber security measures for ICS, performing Security risk assessment and monitoring and conducting ICS gap analysis. He spearheaded the implementation of Data Diode on BAPCO’s OT Network, administers and manages BAPCO’s plant information (PI) system. He has also played an active and integral role in BAPCO’s digital transformation team. His key focus has been the enhancement of the OT network and security infrastructure. He also worked to introduce the Hyper-converged Infrastructure technology on the OT which is part of BAPCO’s ongoing transformation into the 4th Industrial Revolution.
